In 1977 three brothers, Dave, Mark and
Steve Alburger, joined together to learn a song to sing at Daves wedding reception.
The result was both harmonious and fun. Over the next 9 years the brothers would get
together occasionally to perform at local events.
In 1986, joined by friend Jamie Bradley, they decided to enter a local talent contest. They decided on the name Brothers & Others, because they were. They won the contest handily and decided to continue singing together. Joined by keyboardist and vocalist Bob Filice, they focused on classic rock and original tunes and sold out a local concert. Thus encouraged, they decided to perform on a regular basis. Brother Mark, however, had other obligations and dropped out. With the addition of Sean Brennan on guitar and vocals, the core of the band was established.
Today, Brothers & Others has 7 members, including Tom Norwicke on guitar and Mike McNamara on bass. They can be seen most often at private events and fundraisers playing their unique blend of classic rock and original music, specializing in rich vocal harmonies.
Brothers & Others performed regularly at such local establishments as Dembroskys in Silverdale and Cappies in Quakertown. They have a large following and never failed to pack the house. They currently entertain at private parties, weddings and fundraising events and hope to return to the public arena once again in local establishments.
